October is Charity Month at Barks&Biscuits

We have teamed up with four of our amazing ambassadogs to create unique flavours for the month of October. Every flavour supports a different cause by donating 50% of proceeds to charity!

  • Willow's Woofles for Raincoast Dog Rescue;

RainCoast Dog Rescue Society is a very passionate and dedicated BC non-profit dog rescue organization created in 2014 on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. Co-Founded by Jesse Adams with his deep love, commitment, and never ending passion for helping animals, especially dogs, abroad and at home in Canada.

RainCoast is a 100% non profit. As in all donations, adoption fees, fundraiser earnings and merchandise sales go directly back towards rescuing more dogs and cats, and caring for the rescue dogs and cats we already are caring for here. RainCoast is completely volunteer based and does not take any money for personal profit.

  • Leo's Chocolate Lab Cookies for PADS;

Pacifis Assistance Dogs Society breeds, raises and trains fully certified assistance dogs. Service Dogs are trained to do tasks such as: open and close doors, turn lights on and off, retrieve a telephone or other objects, pick up dropped objects (like a bank card or keys), pull manual wheelchairs, carry items like groceries, retrieve medication and provide balance and stability to clients with mobility issues. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Service Dogs are trained to support First Responders and Veterans with C-PTSD or PTSD. These dogs are trained to facilitate wellness and social re-integration in a variety of ways. They provide important physical, calming and grounding skills. Selected for their awareness and positive response to human emotions such as stress, anxiety and fear. Hearing dogs are trained to alert their partner to a variety of sounds such as: knocking on the door, doorbells, ringing telephones, timers and smoke alarms. The dogs are trained to alert their partner to what is causing the sound by physically touching the person with their paw or nose.

  • Maui's Munchies in support of SCARS;

Second Chance Animal Rescue Society helps communities by taking in pets that are unwanted or slated for euthanasia. They collect pets from remote area dog pounds and veterinary clinics that act as the pound, but also take in stray and abandoned pets, many of which are sick or injured. Every animal is given a veterinary and behavioural assessment and any medical care or rehabilitation it requires. SCARS spays/neuters, vaccinates & microchips every animal that comes into their care. This rescue finds loving homes for more than 2,000 pets every year. Preventing pet overpopulation is also a big part of what they do. SCARS actively works within northern Alberta, partnering particularly First Nations and Métis communities, where there can be a lack of accessible and/or affordable pet services.

  • Roux's Peach Cobbler in support of Women and Pets in Crisis;

Women and Pets in Crisis is a program facilitated by Vancouver Humane Society that partners with social service agencies to break down the barriers and support the pets of women who are seeking housing or maintaining their housing while caring for a pet in crisis. From vaccines and flea medicine, to spay/neuter surgeries and urgent medical care, this program ensures that marginalized women with limited income can live in safe home.
